Box Card for Valentines Day

Wow! As I look at the date of my last publication I am astonished and a little bit ashamed that it's been so long. That is not to say I haven't been having fun in my studio (I have started to call it that now that I feel I have so many talents, and prefer to be known as an artist), I have been doing many things, just haven't taken the time to post them on this poorly maintained blog. With that said, I made this card box for my husband of 24 years for Valentines Day, and thought I would share it. All paper and images are from Stampin' Up and I think retired decorative paper if I am not mistaken. I made mine larger than the ones I have been seeing on the internet, and had to make a special envelope just for it to fit. But It makes a statement. The flowers were cut out using a cuttlebug shape, oh and some of the sentiments are from Verve Stamps (I won quite a few years ago, Thank You I still "love" them), and Stampendous.
So in the mean time I plan on trying to post more often, I am in the process of changing my current position in nursing, and plan on having more time at home and in my studio. I am truly exciting for the path I am currently on, and hope to be able to bring you more of my Kreations. I also want to give a shout out to Operation Write Home, and hope that you will visit their website and get involved, even if you don't make cards to send, maybe you know of a place or military person that would enjoy the cards or even donate to this worthy cause. Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Enjoy the Journey

I think every crafter, cardmaker, designer goes through a period of downtime or just plain not enough time in the day to actually do the things they enjoy the most. Since nursing school finished I have been in a funk and my creative mojo has suffered the most. I still get together with my 10's club once a month, but that is about the only time I get to spend being creative right now. Made this card here for one of the gatherings, and it felt good to have some creativity come back. I have been busy while not at work making decor for the new house, sewing fish pillows for my youngest son, and just generally doing some other crafty things, finally! Thought I might just share a little bit of that creativity. Hope you enjoy! (cloud idea cased from ) It is done by using multiple sized circle punches. I love being able to use my punches for more than one thing.

New Adventures

This card is almost symbolic of the new things headed my way these days. My husband and I are beginning a new furniture redesign business, and we are hoping that it will be something we can do and build together. Just stay tuned for exciting things to come. When it all is "mapped" out I will give the details for the new store site. Thanks for visiting and hope to see you real soon in my next adventure!

Happy New Year 2011

It 's amazing another year has gone by, and I am still not using all my creative talents. There is just not enough time in the day...with work, and school, and family...gotta stick with the priorities for the time being. Maybe after school is done it will allow for a little more time to do crafty stuff. Until then I guess I can update every now and then. Hope you have a wonderful 2011 filled with many blessings!

It's been awhile

It seems like I got to do a lot more crafty things even when I was in school, now that I am working as a registered nurse....I don;t have time for much but work. No complaints here, but my blog is sure not getting updated like it should. And ever the student, I am still in school pursuing my BSN, and eventually my masters in nursing. Hopefully my last graduation will be in 2013...might seem like a long time, but it will happen before I know it.

Right now I just get to stamp every now and then, and then hopefully post it here, and you get to enjoy it. This image is a digital stamp, a new and exciting way to make some cool cards. I love to search for a image I don't have in my collection and add it for a pretty cheap price. I can't remember what site I got this from, but it's fun.

Chocolate Candy Gift Box Set

Well the time is almost here, and on June 5th I will be graduating from college with my ASN degree. It seems like forever since I started, and yet at the same time it seems like yesterday. As you can imagine I am beyond excited. This has been a long time in coming, and it is just a stepping stone to my ultimate goal of recieving my Masters degree in Nursing and becoming a Nurse Practitioner. The road is going to be three more year of school but I know I am up for the challenge, and look forward to advancing in that direction. It might not be easy, but well worth it in the end.
This gift set was made for my nursing preceptor as a little thank you. I had to do 144 hours of precepting time in the ER, and loved every minute of it. Hope you like it, and if you do, leave a comment or two. Thanks
